When it comes to the summer months and school holidays, we like to go off cruising for several weeks/months at a time and go where the wind takes us. We pack our bags and move all the troops on-board and start our adventures.

The benefits of Online grocery shopping...
- Extremely convenient
- Save marina fees (stay out on anchorage)
- No heavy bags to carry (in the rain)
- Saves time, it can take up to half a day just to shop
- Bulk orders for heavy or bulky items
- Saves queueing at the checkout!
- Cheaper than driving there

The major supermarkets likes Tesco's or Sainsbury's have delivered our shop to our boat. Its really important to give clear instructions, (that's where the Tesco website works well as you can add specific instructions) for your meeting place. We have used this service all around the UK, its fantastic.

With more people living aboard around the UK, whether in a major city like London which you can get sea going boats into it, or life on the Inland Waterways and coastal areas this service is perfect, leaving you more time for cruising, working (dare I say) and adventuring.

We have many times staggered in hot and bothered with a big shop, walking miles from the anchorage to stock up on fresh food, with the circulation being cut off in your fingers to carry all your food items back to your boat.

So think again when you're travelling to your boat at the weekend, get your shopping delivered save your time for a more relaxing drive and you wont be as tired when you start sailing, do request a chilled bottle of wine with your shop.

Click on www.tesco.com to create your own shopping lists, search for products, easy to use. All Tesco drivers have excellent training, always very polite and helpful and will place your shopping where its convenient for you. Thank you very much Phil and Tesco, excellent service.
